Why Choose Injectables?

These days, getting cosmetic injectables is as common as getting a haircut. These treatments are easy, effective, and convenient, and people love how simple it is to fit them into a regular beauty routine.

BOTOX® is the gold standard for reducing wrinkles and preventing them from developing. This world-beloved injectable has been proven safe and beneficial for thousands upon thousands of happy patients.

Dermal fillers have proven to be one of the most iconic cosmetic treatments of this generation. With their ability to address a wide range of aesthetic concerns in a quick and simple way, these products have truly put their mark on the world.

What BOTOX Can Improve

While there’s nothing wrong with a face that shows signs of a life well lived, many people would prefer a little smoothness here, less severe lines there. Below are the most commonly addressed concerns with BOTOX:

  • Horizontal forehead lines
  • Crow’s feet at the eyes
  • Worry “11” lines between the eyebrows
  • Smoker’s lines around the lips
  • An overly gummy smile
  • Eyebrow asymmetry
  • Necklace lines
  • Wrinkling of the décolleté

What Dermal Fillers Can Improve

The fact that individuals can walk into a medical office with a facial cosmetic concern and walk out half an hour later with that issue corrected is simply amazing. Thin lips become beautifully plump, wrinkles disappear, contours are created, and even the nose can be improved. This is the power of dermal fillers.

  • Plump up and enhance the lips
  • Reduce the appearance of facial wrinkles, lines, and creases
  • Contour the jawline
  • Fill in the tear troughs
  • Define the cheekbones
  • Improve the appearance of the nose
  • Add volume to hollow temples or cheeks
  • Define and sculpt a weak chin

How BOTOX Works to Reduce Wrinkles

BOTOX is a neuromodulator, which means that it has the ability to relax your facial muscles and stop them from contracting — which makes wrinkles form. While BOTOX relaxes the muscles, it won’t “freeze” your face. This only happens when you choose an inexperienced injector who administers too much. At Dion Health, our injectors know exactly the right amount and where to inject to achieve the very best results.

What Your BOTOX Treatment Will be Like

After discussing your aesthetic concerns with us, we will explain how BOTOX works and where it will be placed. We will clean your skin and apply numbing cream if you prefer. Once you’re ready, your specialist will inject the BOTOX directly into the muscles to soften the appearance of your wrinkles. The needle feels like a small pinch. BOTOX treatments take approximately 10-15 minutes to complete.

BOTOX Downtime and Results: What to Expect

Patients love the fact that BOTOX requires no downtime, and only a few physical restrictions. You can go back to your normal day as usual.

Although rare, some patients do experience headache, tenderness, nausea, droopy eyelid, and/or bruising, redness, swelling, and numbness at the injection sites.

All of these side effects are uncommon and temporary if they do occur.

Avoid rubbing your face, sleeping on your face, strenuous activities and exercise, tanning, and excessive heat (saunas, hot yoga, baths, etc.) for one week. When applying makeup, be very mindful of the treatment areas.

Results will vary for each individual depending on muscle strength and how deep their wrinkles are, but in general early outcome can be seen around three days following treatment, with peak results apparent at 2-3 weeks. On average, BOTOX results last 3-5 months.

Who is a Candidate for BOTOX?

  • Are over the age of 18
  • Not pregnant or breastfeeding

  • Do not have a neurological condition
  • Want to improve the appearance of facial/neck lines, creases, and wrinkles

What are Dermal Fillers?

Dermal fillers (also known as facial fillers) are cosmetic treatments that are administered with injections. They offer a fast, effective way to temporarily address facial concerns such as wrinkles, thin lips, and hollowness.

Because only a needle is used, pain is very minimal. Downtime is also nearly non-existent, making fillers an excellent option for those who want to improve their appearance without sacrificing their time.

How Dermal Fillers Work

Dermal fillers are formulated with a soft-tissue substance that work to replace our body’s natural lost collagen, elastin, and hyaluronic acid. When injected just beneath the skin in just the right places, these products have the ability to improve small imperfections, enhance the contours of the face, and stimulate new collagen growth. There is a broad range of dermal fillers, each made with different strengths, formulas, and purposes. This means that no matter what your area of concern may be, there is a dermal filler that is ideal for it.

At Dion Health, our specialists know the unique nuances of each dermal filler, and we will discuss with you which one is best for your individual needs. We will take your personal aesthetic goals into consideration to determine the ideal filler — or combination of fillers — for you.

What Your Dermal Filler Treatment Will be Like

After discussing your aesthetic concerns with us, we will go over our selection for your dermal filler(s) and why we believe it’s right for you.

Your skin will be cleaned, and we can apply a numbing topical if you prefer.

Once you’re ready, your specialist will inject the dermal filler just underneath your skin in the needed areas. The needle feels like a small pinch.

Treatment time is approximately 10-20 minutes, but will vary from patient to patient.

Downtime and Results: What to Expect

One of the best things about dermal fillers is that they achieve exceptional results with almost no downtime. Most patients go right back to their regular day following their appointment. You may have some redness, tenderness, and/or bruising at the injection sites for a few days, but these subside quickly. Side effects will depend on the type of dermal filler you have. For example, some may come with temporary lumpiness or swelling. We will go over everything you can expect during your consultation with us.

Every dermal filler has a different onset time and different longevity of results. Again, we will discuss everything you can expect during your consultation. We encourage you to ask any questions you may have about your dermal filler treatment.
